What’s the #1 killer of dreams?…

The #1 killer of dreams

Before you read this blog, I need you to buckle up, this could get rough.

Still here?😊

Ok, here goes…

Do you know what the number one killer of dreams is?…

It’s not failed ideas.

It’s not debt.

It’s not lack of money.

It’s not doubters or critics.

It’s not frustration.

It’s not overwhelm.

It’s not bad decisions.

It’s not even fear of the unknown, or making mistakes.

It’s… procrastination.

The deadly “I’ll-do-it-later virus”.

If we want something extraordinary to happen in our lives, we have to put in a certain amount of effort to make it happen.

If you don’t start, you can never get going, and if you never get going, that’s one sure way to quickly fail.

So my word of advice to you is to focus your energy solely on starting one small thing today.

  1. Take a small step and invest in a book or a course that will help you with the information and guidance you need to get going
  2. Then take another small step in actually implementing and acting on the information and guidance
  3. Then take another small step in getting constructive feedback from people you respect to see if you’re on track
  4. Then take another small step in implementing that feedback

Then, keep repeating 2, 3 & 4 over and over...

I think you get the picture.

Follow this to the letter and you will make it.

Everything you need is already inside you…what could be missing is structure, clarity and guidance to help you ‘connect the dots’ and steer you in the right direction.

Get laser-focused and take one small step forward…

You got this👊🏼

What’s your #1 job as a small business owner?

As a small business owner our job is to stay inspired

Your #1 job as a business owner is to stay in a state of inspiration.

Because when you’re inspired, you’re more productive, resourceful and creative.

When you’re creative, you can come up with new ideas for products, steer the direction of your company and look after your people (customers and employees) better.

But it’s tough to do any of that if you’re in a bad state of anxiety or mental stress, health or money issues, that can make you lose your joy for whatever reason.

And without an inspired ‘you’ at the helm doing all those positive things, your company could eventually fall apart.

This is life and these things are sometimes unavoidable.

Your job is to get back into a state of inspiration where everything is exciting and you feel like life is literally flowing from you.

So how do you get there?

It’s different for every person.

But science shows it’s not working harder – it’s actually taking TIME OFF and resting and recharging, something you’ll know a lot about if you’re an introvert like me😄

It’s something I personally try my best to maintain – a healthy work-life balance.

I tend to get renewed when I learn and do something NEW. New ideas, new products, new sights, new anything really.

How do you get into an inspired, elevated state of mind?

Let me know, I’m genuinely curious.

Identify your purpose

Why identifying your purpose (first) is essential to building a business you love.

Finding your purpose is one of the most important steps towards building a meaningful life and a successful business you love ❤️

Introverts, empaths and creative people have lots of gifts they can share with the world. Knowing what you’re really here to do, will provide you with a clearer path to do that.

When you know what your purpose is, you can build a business around,

👉A clear and inspiring vision

👉A sense of having a mission, that’s bigger than you that inspires💥others

👉A deep understanding of the values and motivations of the people (i.e. the customers) you want to serve – who may even desperately need your help, skill, and talent to make their lives better

It’s not just about making a profit, but about making a positive impact on the world and fulfilling a deeper sense of meaning and satisfaction that’s worth infinitely more than just going into business purely to make money.

Take the time to reflect and really think about what you would like to contribute to the world

One of the key benefits of having a clear purpose is it will provide you with a strong sense of direction and focus.

When you know what you want to achieve, you’ll be able to prioritise your efforts, make smarter decisions, and stay motivated especially when the going gets tough!

Real connection❤️

Another important factor in building a purpose-driven business is the ability to connect with your customers on a really deep level.

When you understand what motivates your customers, you’ll be able to create products and services that really meet their needs in a way that’s both effective and meaningful.

This connection can help you build a loyal base of customers who will be more likely to recommend you to others, enabling you to grow your business over time.

Teamwork makes the dream work💪

Having a clear purpose can also help you build a strong and cohesive network of people to help you make your vision and goals come true.

When everyone’s working towards a common goal, you’re more likely to be engaged, which can lead to higher levels of collaboration, innovation, productivity and fun!

Finding your purpose is an essential step towards building a meaningful and successful business because it will:

Provide you with a clear sense of direction,

Help you connect with people/customers on a deeper level,

Enable you to build a strong network of contacts who can help you.

So if you’re thinking about starting something, take the time to really think deeply about what your purpose is first, then get going and start growing that awesome business around it!

You got this👊
